The California Teachers Association Endorses Lloyd Levine for State Senate

Sacramento — The Lloyd Levine for Senate campaign (SD-23) is proud to announce an endorsement from the California Teachers Association.
“CTA supports Lloyd Levine because he remains committed to fighting against the Governor’s proposed $4.8 billion in budget cuts to public education” said David A. Sanchez, President of the 340,000-member California Teachers Association. “Levine will keep the money where it belongs, in California’s classrooms.”
“My top priority for California’s schools is to ensure that they are adequately funded” Levine said. “With our state ranking 46th in per pupil spending, there is no doubt that we can do better.”
The CTA is California’s largest professional employee organization, representing more than 340,000 public school teachers, counselors, psychologists, librarians, other non-supervisory certificated personnel, and Education Support Professionals (ESPs).
